I'm David Bijl, currently a second year CMD student with a passion for design and web development.
Exploring different forms of creativity has always been a source of joy for me! Since a young age, drawing has been a hobby of mine. As I grew older, I realized I had an affinity for web design, ultimately landing me at CMD.
Outside of school, I work in the marketing department at YESSS, a Europe-based electrical wholesaler. I do a variety of creative work such as creating advertisements, designing posters and flyers, or occasionally creating social media content.

MY SKILLSET
I'm well versed in a variety of programs and coding languages, with my standout skills being Adobe XD, Figma, Photoshop, Procreate, Premiere Pro, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TF2 :)
My general workflow consists of using Adobe XD or Figma for creating designs, Photoshop and Procreate for all graphics related things, and Premiere Pro for video editing. As for coding, I like to dive deep into HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. On the off chance I have some spare time, I like to relax by playing some video games - TF2 being my all time favourite!
ASPIRATIONS
Job aspirations
I'm always eager to improve myself. Currently, I'm learning more about the interplay between back-end and front-end development, exploring APIs, and figuring out database management. My goals for the future are to familiarize myself with front-end frameworks, experiment more with CSS animations, and refining my understanding of CSS grid.
Personal goals
Video editing is a hobby I enjoy pursuing on the side. Right now im comfortable working in premiere pro, but I'd like to expand my repertoire and start using Adobe AE and blender to elevate the visual quality of my work further.
Another skill I would like to learn is presenting. I greatly admire people who can confidently speak infront of an audience. It's something I would like to practise more if I can get the chance.
